Women at the Center

In most Himalayan villages, women carry the weight of farming, household work, and caregiving. Our NGO works to ensure they also share in decision-making, income, and recognition.

• Skills & Training – Workshops on organic cultivation, value addition (pickles, jams, spices), hospitality, and small business management.
• Income Opportunities – Creating pathways for women to earn from farm products, crafts, and services connected to the Pine Valley stay and wider markets.
• Leadership & Confidence – Supporting women to organize, speak in village meetings, and lead community initiatives.

Protecting the Living Himalayas

Our work is guided by a simple truth: if we harm the forests, soil, and water, we harm ourselves. We focus on farming and tourism models that protect, not deplete, the fragile ecology of Binsar.

Focus areas:

• Indigenous Crops & Seeds – Promoting traditional varieties like Kaali Haldi, Kaala Adrak, local millets, and mountain beans that are naturally suited to this landscape.
• Soil & Water Care – Encouraging organic practices, composting, and careful water use to keep the land healthy.
• Community Forest Awareness – Supporting conversations and local actions around forest protection, grazing practices, and wildlife coexistence.
